From festive food, beautiful gifts, a carolling choir and even a panto – Craigies has it covered this Christmas! 

Our Christmas Shop is fully stocked and, more than ever, this year we know people are placing an emphasis on quality wherever they spend their money. Plus, we have some very merry musical additions to our usual Christmas Tree pick up area! 

We have an excellent offering for 2022, from everyone’s favourite pigs in blankets to super-green Brussels sprouts to our award-winning traditional butchers. We also have festive food drinks, homewares and toys in the shop as well as our family Santa Experience, festive fun for all ages! 

Festive Family Fun 

The Craigies Farm Santa experience is a magical, theatrical event that will bring buckets of festive cheer! 

Our new panto-style family experience for 2022 ‘Santa and the Christmas Bear’ has been designed by theatre professionals for both kids and grownups. Written and produced especially for Craigies, it is packed with special moments for the whole family… with plenty of laughs and a few surprises along the way!  

The festive family experience is running every weekend from 3 – 23 December at Little Farmers. Visitors will embark on an immersive festive adventure, journeying through three magical mini-Christmas wonderlands filled with little surprises along the way! 

What’s involved? 

Kids will be captivated by theatrics, fun storytelling and rhyming elements. They will meet Mrs Claus and a cheeky elf named Splatz, who need help creating a special gift to thank Santa for his hard work delivering presents around the world. Of course, Father Christmas makes an appearance too! 

Our interactive event also includes a 1.5-hour play session at Little Farmers adventure farm park, and children will choose a special early Christmas gift from Santa himself to take home.

Christmas dinner is made easy with our great value Classic Christmas Pack. Designed to feed 3-4 guests, it has everything you need for a stellar Christmas feast that is easy to cook, carve and enjoy! The Craigies Veg Box has everything you need for tasty sides and healthy mains – containing only seasonal vegetables, for winter these include leeks, potatoes, onions, carrots, savoy cabbage & cauliflower. 

All the Trimmings 

Christmas dinner wouldn’t be complete without the trimmings. Homemade by the Craigies team using seasonal, local ingredients, choose from easy, throw-in-the-oven or microwave sides like Rosemary Duck Fat Roast Potatoes, Maple Roasted Root Veg, or Dauphinoise Potatoes  – and don’t forget the Pigs in Blankets!  

Decadent Desserts & Drinks 

For the sweet-toothed there’s plenty of home baked treats to choose from including a traditional Craigies Homemade Yule Log and Homemade Christmas Cake.  

Find a winning festive flavour combo in our Homemade Black Forest Cheesecake, and complete your haul with fresh Homemade Mince Pies, featuring juicy mincemeat encased in a delicious, buttery pastry casing. 

We also specialise in showcasing a range of Scottish-made drinks. There’s a tipple for every taste bud, from Peebles Hydro 1881 London Dry Gin and Pickering’s Gin to locally brewed beers from Bellfield Brewery and Scottish ciders galore. For those staying teetotal, a bottle of Summer House Winter Spice will ensure they don’t feel left out!

In the Farm Shop you’ll find a range of ornaments, wall hangings, mantlepiece décor and more! From warm holiday reds to wintry cool blues, there is something to suit every home. Why not pop in for a browse and enjoy a festive cuppa and cake in our Café while you’re here? 

In the toy shop, we have fairtrade and sustainable brands that kids will love. With a focus on quality, if you buy one gift you know it will be a good one – with a range of traditional wooden Orange Tree Toys to delight little farmers, as will realistic Bruder machinery toys, plus a selection of cuddly toys for younger children. Christmas Trees & Carolling  

Christmas Trees are officially in stock! Provided by Dalmeny Christmas Trees, these trees are sure to be a gorgeous addition to any family’s sitting room.  

New for this year, we will also have the amazing Forth Dimension Choir singing Christmas carols to get us all in the holiday mood! They’ll be there on 3, 4, 17, & 18 of December, alongside an outdoor food stall offering delicious winter warmers – think mulled apple juice, tea, coffee & hot chocolate, mince pies, stovies, bacon rolls and soup.
