Anne’s Apple Pie
Ingredients
- 450 g Plain Flour
- 350 g Butter
- 125 g Sugar
- 4 Cooking apples
- Soft brown sugar
- Cinnamon
Instructions
- Soften the butter whilst gradually adding the flour & sugar
- Roll out the pastry on flour & on baking paper
- Do enough for the base of one pie. This recipe is enough for two 7" pie tins
- Peel & slice the apples
- Fill the two pie cases with the apples
- Sprinkle soft brown sugar over the apples along with a sprinkling of cinnamon
- Cover with a pastry lid, sealing the edges with the base
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 fan for 40 minutes or until ready
- Watch carefully after 40 minutes
- When still hot, sprinkle top with granulated sugar
