Anne’s Apple Pie

Enjoy Anne's 'not so secret' apple pie recipe!

Cook Time 40 minutes
Servings 6 People

Ingredients
  

  • 450 g Plain Flour
  • 350 g Butter
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 4 Cooking apples
  • Soft brown sugar
  • Cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Soften the butter whilst gradually adding the flour & sugar
  • Roll out the pastry on flour & on baking paper
  • Do enough for the base of one pie. This recipe is enough for two 7" pie tins
  • Peel & slice the apples
  • Fill the two pie cases with the apples
  • Sprinkle soft brown sugar over the apples along with a sprinkling of cinnamon
  • Cover with a pastry lid, sealing the edges with the base
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180 fan for 40 minutes or until ready
  • Watch carefully after 40 minutes
  • When still hot, sprinkle top with granulated sugar
