Steak Pie


Ingredients

  • 1kg Shoulder Steak
  • 75g White onion
  • 50ml Wostershire Sauce
  • 3 Oxo cubes
  • 1 heaped tablespoon Bisto
  • 1 Litre Water
  • 50ml Red Wine
  • 1 Just Roll Puff Pastry
  • Salt & Pepper to season
  • 1 Egg

Method

  1. Place the shoulder steak in pot, add the beer, Worcester sauce, oxo, onions and then 1 litre of hot water, cook on a medium heat for 1.45-2 hrs until the meat is tender.
  2. Heat the oven to 180°C.
  3. Thicken with bisto, sprinkle over the meat and stir in.
  4. Pour meat into pie dish
  5. Roll out puff pastry to fit pie dish and place on top then brush with beaten egg.
  6. Bake in the oven for 45 minutes.
